“Connecting Veterans and Caregivers to resources earned, while Empowering Veterans to utilize those resources to Transform their lives.”
Who We Are
Welcome to Operation Veteran and Caregiver Support!
We are a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the northern Miami Valley of Ohio. We serve active duty military, National Guard, veterans, caregivers, and their families—both locally and across the country—by connecting them with the resources they’ve earned through their service.
We’re here to transform lives, one service member, veteran, caregiver, and family at a time.
What Do We Do?
Events that Build Community
We’re best known for our Muster & Mingle events—twice-monthly gatherings where veterans and their families come together. Each Muster & Mingle is a little different — you might hear from a speaker, join a group activity, or help with a community project. What all our Muster & Mingle events share, however, is a great meal shared with in the company of those who understand you best, your fellow veterans and their families.
In addition to these regular meetups, we host four major family-friendly events each year:
- 🐣 Easter Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt in partnership with VFW Post 4874 Auxiliary (March/April)
- 🎣 Military & Veteran Kids Fun Day (June)
- 🎒 School Supply Giveaway at WACO Air Museum in Troy, OH (August)
- 🎅 Santa’s Sweet Shop at the TippCenter – treats, crafts, and time with Santa (December)
Each event is designed to create joy, build bonds, and make our veteran community feel truly seen and supported.

We work one-on-one with veterans, caregivers, and their families to ensure that every veteran—regardless of when they served or their discharge status—is treated with dignity and respect.
While we are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or any county-level Veteran Service Office (VSO), we proudly collaborate with these offices and other community partners to improve the lives of those who’ve served.
We do not process VA claims and do not employ a certified Veteran Service Officer. However, we are happy to help connect you with a trusted and qualified VSO who can assist you with your specific needs.
We believe in breaking down barriers—not creating them—and welcome all who have served, without bias or exception.
In 2023 we launched a Military and Veteran Food Pantry, open Thursdays from 10:00am-1:00pm. This pantry is need based, where those in need simply show proof of veteran status and proof of address.
What’s Next?
In 2026, we are dreaming big!
We’re taking the next step forward by securing and renovating a new office space designed to better serve veterans and their families. Every donation will go directly toward making this space a reality—one that meets real, everyday needs and strengthens community connection.
Our new space will allow us to offer:
- A welcoming open area with a kitchenette where veterans can relax, connect, and build meaningful relationships
- A private office for our Director to meet confidentially with veterans, families, and community partners
- An expanded food pantry with a separate entrance for easier loading and added client privacy
- Washer and dryer facilities for veterans who need access to laundry services
- A small rental hall for community gatherings of under 100 people, such as baby showers, graduations, and birthday celebrations
As a fully donor-funded nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you to grow and adapt alongside the veterans we serve. Thank you for partnering with us and helping turn this vision into a place of support, dignity, and belonging for our community’s veterans.
Proud Founding Members

Operation Veteran & Caregiver Support is a proud Founding Member of the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Miami, Darke, and Shelby Counties, a community collaborative hosted by the Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services. Our Director serves on the Coalition’s Veteran Task Force, working to increase awareness and promote suicide deterrence efforts within local veteran organizations and area gun shops.
