Events for 2022!
This week, Operation Veteran and Caregiver Support held our monthly board meeting. At this meeting, we created our event calendar for 2022, and let’s just say we are so excited about what this year has to offer! We will be continuing to hold our monthly Muster & Mingle events, expanding that to 2 events every few months, so that our veterans can bring their families along for the fun. In January we are hosting the Miami Valley Veterans Museum, and are planning on hosting speakers from the Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton Vet Services, the Miami County Parks Department, Agribilities, and many more.
We are planning a family fishing derby in June, our second annual golf scramble at Echo Hills Golf Course in Piqua in August, school supply distribution, a 5k fun run in October, and of course the return of Santa’s Sweet Shop next December. This year, we will also be sponsoring a garden at the Miami County Fairgrounds, and are excited to see how our veterans and caregivers will design our space! Operation Veteran and Caregiver Support will also be hosting Veteran Resource Fairs in May and July.
Our year is just getting started, and there are already so many great things to look forward to!
