Fire Safety Brings Warmth
Our October 7th Muster & Mingle was one to remember! We were honored to have the Piqua Fire Department join us for an evening of good food, great conversation, and life-saving information.
Chief Lee led an engaging discussion on fire safety and shared some fascinating insights about our local department — did you know Piqua is the only fire department in the area with a fully certified dive team? Their expertise means they’re often called to assist neighboring communities with water rescues and recoveries.

Chief Lee and his team were incredibly generous with their time, answering questions and connecting with our veterans and caregivers. It was a special opportunity for everyone to rub shoulders with our local heroes and learn more about the vital work they do every day.
And we can’t forget dinner! Melissa Lee, Chief Lee’s wife, prepared a delicious home-cooked meal of beef & noodles, mashed potatoes, Greek salad, and brownies — the perfect comfort food for a fall evening.

We also want to give a huge thank-you to The Home Depot Foundation for donating fire safety buckets packed with essentials like smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, flashlights, and more (pictured below). Their generosity helps keep our veterans and caregivers safe and prepared.

Thank you to the Piqua Fire Department and everyone who joined us for making the night such a success. Be sure to check out our Upcoming Events page to see where you can find us next!
