Fore! Golf Scramble A Great Day
On Friday August 23rd we held our Annual Golf Scramble at Stillwater Valley Golf Club in Versailles. This was our first year at this club, and we’ll certainly be back! It was a beautiful morning, with just the slightest crisp in the air. The golfers enjoyed a Grab & Go style breakfast of sweets and coffee, thanks to our friends at Panera Bread. After a run down of the rules by Kelly, they were off!
While the golfers were moving through the course, lunch was prepared by the great staff at the course. Pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw and cookies were eagerly devoured by the golfers, hungry after 18 great holes on the course. After everyone had eaten, we announced our door prize winners, as well as our scramble winners. In First Place, we had a team that has been with us all 4 years of our scramble, a team we affectionally refer to Mike Haney and the Schneiders. New this year, our first place team received half price entry to the USA Patriots Veteran Golf Circuit Finale on September 27th at Beavercreek Golf Club. We are already looking forward to our event for next year, which will be held on a Saturday.
