Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers at the Miami County Fair!

The Miami County Fair was buzzing with excitement this year, and our veteran volunteers were the heart and soul of our booth! From the first hot morning to the last warm evening, these incredible individuals stood strong, engaged with attendees, and helped us make meaningful connections throughout the fair. Many were volunteering for the first time, and we are beyond grateful for their willingness to jump in and make a difference.

We had 988 crisis line swag flying off the table, and one teen even told us he wanted a water bottle so he could share the information if anyone ever needed it—a touching reminder of why our work matters. Our volunteers were there to explain resources, answer questions, and offer a listening ear, and they did it all with energy, patience, and huge smiles—even in the blazing heat!

Special shoutout to Diane, a devoted caregiver volunteer, who made it her mission to keep the booth open as late as we were allowed. Even as foot traffic slowed down, she stayed enthusiastic and loved interacting with everyone who stopped by. Diane’s dedication is exactly the spirit that makes our events successful.

We also held daily $25 restaurant gift card giveaways, thanks to our amazing local partners: Agave & Rye, Applebee’s, Dos Marias, Tipp City Pizza, Bibibop, and Frida’s. These giveaways were a hit with attendees, and our volunteers made sure every drawing was fun, organized, and engaging.

From sunup to sundown, our volunteers showed heart, commitment, and a passion for connecting with the community. We can’t thank them enough for stepping up, sweating it out, and making this year’s Miami County Fair one to remember! You truly are the best of the best.
