3rd Annual Hero Harvest 5k Brings Families Together
Our 2026 Hero Harvest 5K was a beautiful morning along the Great Miami Riverway, with 80 runners and walkers coming together to support Operation Veteran & Caregiver Support and the veterans, military members, caregivers and families we serve.

Participants arrived bright and early, ready to run or walk the course and enjoy a beautiful fall morning in our community. Whether they were chasing a new personal best, getting some exercise, or simply enjoying the morning with friends and family, every participant helped make the event a success.

And, of course, no 5K is complete without a little something waiting at the finish line! After crossing the finish line, participants were treated to free smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe and burritos from Crooked Handle-Piqua — a pretty great way to celebrate a morning well spent.

We are incredibly grateful to the sponsors, volunteers, participants and community partners who helped make the Hero Harvest 5K possible. Events like this allow us to bring our community together while raising support and awareness for the veterans and caregivers who are at the heart of our mission.
