Old Fashioned Fall Fun at Muster & Mingle in Troy!
Our October 6th Muster & Mingle in Troy was all about enjoying some good food, great company, and a little fall fun!
We kicked off the evening with a chili supper before breaking out the pumpkins and getting creative. Some folks went the traditional route with carving tools, while others decorated their pumpkins with paint, stickers, and plenty of personality. By the end of the evening, we had quite the collection of pumpkin masterpieces! We are so thankful to Greg Taylor and Pumpkins for a Purpose, an initiative that provides free pumpkins to local non-profits, schools, and churches, for the donation of the pumpkins for our Muster & Mingle!
One of our favorite moments of the night came when a veteran shared that he hadn’t carved a pumpkin in more than 60 years, not since he was a child. He hadn’t had the opportunity to carve pumpkins with his own children, either. It was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the simplest activities can create the most meaningful moments.
There was plenty of laughter, creativity, and conversation throughout the evening, and everyone seemed to have a blast!
That’s what Muster & Mingle is all about. It’s not always about having a guest speaker or a packed agenda. Sometimes it’s just about bringing people together, sharing a meal, trying something fun, and making memories along the way.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun fall evening. We hope you enjoy looking through the photos as much as we enjoyed making the memories!
