From Conservation to Cookies

September’s Muster & Mingle was the perfect blend of good company, good food, and good conversation. We were delighted to welcome Linda from the Miami Soil and Water Conservation District, who shared her knowledge about the many ways our local land and water resources are cared for and preserved. Her passion for conservation sparked thoughtful discussions and gave us all a deeper appreciation for the natural spaces right here in our own backyard.

Of course, no gathering is complete without a hearty meal. Guests enjoyed classic Ohio shredded chicken sandwiches, sweet corn, and plenty of cookies for dessert—a menu that felt like a hug on a plate. The food gave everyone reason to linger a little longer, swapping stories and laughter around the tables.

Evenings like this remind us what these gatherings are all about—creating a space where veterans, families, and friends can connect, share, and walk away feeling a little lighter than when they arrived. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and can’t wait to welcome you back for our next Muster & Mingle!
