Egg-cellent Adventures at the 2026 Easter Bunny Breakfast

The 2026 Easter Bunny Breakfast was a morning full of sunshine, laughter, and community spirit. Over 100 attendees joined in the festivities, hunting for nearly 2,500 eggs and enjoying a classic breakfast of pancakes, applesauce, juice, and sausage generously donated by Piqua Pizza.

Campmulli DC Rabbitry brought the live Easter bunnies, delighting children of all ages and creating plenty of opportunities for memorable photos. Thanks also to the VFW Post 4874 Auxiliary for their support, and to Doug Fosnight, whose photography captured all the smiles, laughs, and action from the morning.

This year introduced “token” eggs, a fun twist on the traditional hunt. Instead of candy, some eggs held tokens that could be traded at the prize table for bigger toys. Kids raced through the hunt with extra excitement, strategizing which eggs might hold the special tokens. Watching the looks of delight when they traded a token for a prize was a highlight for everyone.

Temporary tattoos were another new addition—and quickly became a hilarious highlight (and minor chaos) of the morning. Kids ended up with tattoos on faces, arms, and even full sleeves! Volunteers did their best, but it quickly became clear that next year we’ll need a dedicated tattoo “artist” to help keep the fun under control. Everyone, kids and parents alike, took it in stride and laughed along with the creative chaos.

Adding to the fun, there was a raffle with prizes for lucky winners, and a coloring table where kids could take a break, get creative, and show off their masterpieces. Between egg hunts, token trades, tattoos, bunny cuddles, raffle excitement, and coloring creativity, the morning was packed with activity and Easter magic.
