Getting our Homes in Order

On August 4, we gathered at our office in Troy, OH for Muster & Mingle. The warm weather couldn’t keep the veterans away, and everyone enjoyed conversation while we gathered. This month’s event focused on VA home loans, homeownership, and insurance, with local professionals sharing their knowledge and answering questions about some of the unique considerations veterans and military families may encounter when buying, selling, or insuring a home.

We were grateful to welcome Kelly Berry with Coldwell Banker Real Estate, David Keiser and Zach Weaver with Littman Thomas Agency, and Jennifer Zahumensky with CrossCountry Mortgage as our guest speakers. Their expertise provided attendees with an opportunity to learn more about resources available to veterans and the home-buying process. Our group kept them engaged with lots of questions, and even our veterans who have been home owners for years were able to get great information.

Of course, no Muster & Mingle would be complete without a good meal! Guests enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and green beans while connecting with fellow veterans, family members, and members of our community.

Muster & Mingle is about more than gathering around a table. It’s an opportunity to build connections, share resources, learn from local experts, and remind veterans and their families that they have a community behind them.
