More Than a Meal: Veterans Gather in Tipp City for April Muster & Mingle
Veterans and their families gathered once again for an evening of food, fellowship, and community connection during our April Muster & Mingle at the Tipp Center in Tipp City.
This month’s event welcomed representatives from both the Miami County YMCA and the Piqua YMCA, who shared information about the many programs and opportunities available to local veterans, caregivers, and families. From personal training and wellness classes to organized day trips, aquatic programs, and social activities, attendees learned about the different ways each YMCA location is helping community members stay active, connected, and supported.

As conversations filled the room, guests enjoyed a comforting home-cooked dinner of baked pork chops, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. One of the best parts of every Muster & Mingle is watching people linger long after the meal is finished — catching up with old friends, meeting someone new, and realizing just how many resources and connections exist right here in our own community.
At Operation Veteran and Caregiver Support, these evenings are about more than presentations. They are about creating a space where veterans and caregivers feel welcome, informed, and never alone. We are grateful to both YMCA teams for spending the evening with us and sharing the many ways they continue serving Miami County residents.

Want to join in the fun next time? We’ll be in Troy for a Fiesta Night on May 5, 2026, and are grateful to have Miami County Veteran Services joining us in Tipp City on May 27th.
